The Taylor Family Center for Student Success invites you to join our Sophomore Faculty and Staff Mentorship Program. This initiative is designed to foster connection between WashU faculty and staff and our first-generation sophomore students within the TFCSS.
By becoming a mentor, you can…
Make a meaningful impact
Your knowledge, perspective, and personal journey can help guide a sophomore student through some of the most important academic and personal decisions of their college experience.
Grow while you give
Serving as a mentor can be a rewarding and enriching experience for WashU faculty and staff! Some mentors describe the experience as a refreshing reminder of why they chose higher education in the first place.
By supporting a student’s journey, you’ll gain deeper insight into the first-gen experience, help build cross-generational connections, and strengthen your impact on the WashU community in a truly tangible way.
Flexible commitment, real impact
Mentors meet with their student mentee for just 30 minutes every two weeks, with the freedom to adjust timing and format (in-person or virtual) based on what works best for both of you. The Faculty & Staff Mentorship Program will run from November to April 25. A mentor match day reception will take place in November (details to follow).
