Mark Figueroa currently serves as an Assistant Director in the Taylor Family Center for Student Success. In his role, Mark oversees the Kessler Scholars Program and provides holistic support to Kessler Scholars, who are first-generation limited-income STEM students (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) looking to utilize their education in the STEM field to have a social impact and create societal change. Additionally, Mark works with the Kessler Collaborative to further develop the Kessler Scholar Program initiative at Washington University in St. Louis.
Mark has a Bachelors of Arts & Sciences from Lewis & Clark College and a M.Ed. in Student Affairs Administration from Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education & Counseling. Before joining the Taylor Family Center for Student Success, Mark worked as a Program Manager for Lewis & Clark’s Office of Inclusion & Multicultural Engagement, a First-Term Academic Advisor for Portland Community College, and as an Athletic Academic Advisor for Portland State University.
