Kessler Scholar sophomores will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of golf directly from student-athletes and coaches.

Golf is often viewed as a sport that opens doors in both professional and social settings. By introducing you to the game, this session aims to build confidence, promote networking skills, and expose you to environments that may support your future career and leadership opportunities.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 am: Meet at the DUC
  • 9:30 am: Depart campus for Tapawingo (it’s been cooler in the mornings, so we’ll leave a bit early)
  • 9:55 am: Arrive at Tapawingo
  • 10:00–10:15 am: Introductions, overview of golf clubs and equipment
  • 10:15–10:45 am: Station 1 (Full Swing, Bunker, or Putting/Chipping)
  • 10:45–11:15 am: Station 2
  • 11:15–11:45 am: Station 3
  • 11:45 am–12:00 pm: Long Drive or Putting Contest
  • 12:00–12:15 pm: Return to vans and head back to WashU
  • 12:30–12:45 pm: Arrive back on campus and pick up lunch.
