Liliana serves as a TRIO Academic Success Coordinator. She’s from Dallas, Texas and is an SMU alumni. She’s happy to talk to you about anything college-related and is also open to practicing Spanish and Japanese languages with you. Liliana is a former TRIO Scholar through SMU’s Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program.
“As a McNair scholar at SMU, I was a part of a first-generation program much like the TRIO Scholars program here at WashU that helped me get the chance to present research as an undergrad and further prepared me for grad school. My McNair Program Manager, Jackie Lowrey, taught me that I am allowed to achieve the dream to go to grad school and beyond. I find that sometimes life can be a full circle. I am happy to serve in TRIO and am excited for what this year brings!”
