Victoria Ruiz is the newest Assistant Director at the Taylor Family Center for Student Success. In her role, she supports first-generation and/or limited-income Sophomore Soar students through engaging programming focused on academic excellence, mentorship, and leadership development. Through her work with the Sophomore Soar Mentorship Program, Victoria connects Taylor STAR students to faculty and staff mentors who support student success through guidance and empowerment.
Victoria has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Adams State University. Victoria serves as a council member for the Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution Educators (AHSIE) where she supports the Seed to Tree Scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students. As a first-generation graduate, Victoria is excited to contribute to first-gen sophomore student success with WashU!
