EdGE (Education, Growth, Empowerment) is a two-week, on campus experience just before Orientation. You’ll arrive early, earn one course credit, and build the skills, connections and momentum to start your first semester on the right track.
No matter your background or high school experience, EdGE gives you space to learn, ask questions, and build confidence before the semester begins.
- Get ahead academically with proven learning strategies
- Build your community early with fellow new students
- Learn how college really works before classes begin
- Explore St. Louis and campus life through social experiences
- A one-credit course designed for new WashU students
- Hands-on practice with study skills, time management, and note-taking
- Guidance on academic expectations and campus resources
- Social events like movie night, trivia, and a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium

- Confidence in navigating your academic and campus life
